Collab
A community for Philly’s emerging and professional creatives to grow their network and careers.
@collab.philly on IG & TikTok
At the start of 2025, I thought the only way to grow my creative career was to pack my bags and move to New York. I’ve spent five years in social media and brand management, sent endless applications, and felt like Philly just didn’t have the opportunities I was looking for.
But after talking with a graphic design friend about how disconnected and isolated I felt, she said something that stuck: “It sounds like you just need community.” And thus, Collab was born. What started out as networking events has since grown into a blossoming community of Philly creatives. We host networking events, workshops, share job postings, and more!
I developed the branding, create content, manage our social media accounts, and plan and host our events! So far we’ve hosted 6 events averaging about 50 attendees at each one. We’ve partnered with Soph’s Matcha and Tarot Jones as vendors at our events and we’ve collaborated with Let Me Know Club and hosted an event at Mindspace.
Below you’ll find photos I’ve taken, marketing initiatives I planned, and social media video content I created.
Recent Campaigns
Are you a Philly Creative?
I wanted to generate more leads for Collab so I hung flyers around the city with a QR code that lead people to our newsletter sign up. This was a short term campaign lasting about a week long and we received 50 emails.
Social Media Launch Campaign
I created and planned the launch campaign for Collab. I started out posting TikTok content on my personal account and created a separate Instagram account for the brand. The formula I tend to go by is as follows; post the flyer with trending sound on TikTok and Instagram, create 1-2 talking head videos describing Collab’s story and positioning, create 1-2 voice over videos showing the space we’re hosting it at.
Brand Activations
To create a meaningful experience for people, I created two different brand activations for people to participate in when they come to out events.
Conversation Starters
Networking can be overwhelming for people so instead of doing ice breakers, I lay out conversation starters! Creatives use the questions below to spark up a conversation with others are our events.
Looking for Mad Libs
What started out as a social media shareable template, turned into a community board of looking for ads! The MadLibs are available at every event for people to share what they do and also call out creatives they’re looking to partner with.
