Collab
A community for Philly’s emerging and professional creatives to grow their network and careers.

Collab began in a FaceTime call with a graphic design friend. I wanted her opinion on my portfolio and expressed my frustration with the job market. At one point she says to me, “it sounds like you’re looking for community, you should start a networking event for other professional creatives”. At first I was hesitant, that has got exist already, right? But then I realized, if it existed, I would’ve been there. And then came Collab, what started out as networking events has since grown into a blossoming community of Philly creatives. We host networking events, workshops, share job postings, and more!
So far we’ve hosted 6 events averaging about 50 attendees at each one. I find outside vendors and offer conversation starter questions, with the intention of enhancing the experience for attendees.
Before creating a Tiktok account for Collab, I used my personal one to promote the event and share our messaging.
Below you’ll find photos I’ve taken, marketing initiatives I planned, and social media video content I created. You can find everything on our Instagram and TikTok. ↗

Are you a Philly Creative?
I wanted to generate more leads for Collab so I hung flyers around the city with a QR code that lead people to our newsletter sign up. This was a short term campaign lasting about a week long and we received 50 emails.
Social Media Launch Campaign
I created a social media series to launch Collab. I started out posting TikTok content on my personal account and created a separate Instagram account. The formula I tend to go by is as follows:
Post the flyer with trending sound on TikTok and Instagram
Create 1-2 talking head videos describing Collab’s story and positioning.
Create 1-2 voice over videos showing the space we’re hosting it at and
